Re: Trying to make a billard.

1/4" is great - there's no set rule here, what a guy is shooting for is building a pipe that looks balanced, well constructed, well proportioned. Very roughly speaking, if we assume 1/4" of wall, and 3/4" of chamber, adding that on to the end of a 2" shank is going to give us a ...

Re: Egg.

The egg hmm it does not look like an egg to me but the stem to shank seems to be right on. On the rustication part the lines go only in circles try going downward like rain streaks you will get better results. Keep doing what you like to do in this addictive hobby.

Re: Trying to make a billard.

Trying to make "a billiard" and designing it with 1/2" thick walls and a plateau top just kicks it right out of "ordinary billiard" territory. Roughly speaking, that's a billiard, because it has basically vertical walls. If you want to practice "ordinary" draw up ...

Re: #1 Be Hard on Me!

First thing is remove that bullet hole you made with band saw and then belt sand the shank i hope this helps as i am a beginner also and have lots of trouble making classic shapes ...
