this is my second pipe ever. i decided to try making something like a kaywoodie #17. i changed it up a bit im not exactly sure what you would call it now but i am open to criticism and advice to make my next pipe that much better

A few thinks you could work ok. The taper is too strong from shank to button. A good sharp line, just too steep. The bowl dips below the shank line. The angle of the top of the bowl leans back instead of forward. A few areas to start anyway.

i made the bowl forward just to see how it looked i was pleased with the forward cant but its just a personal choice, but i see what you mean about the taper and bowl. i think ill go back and slim down the taper and bring the underside of the shank in with the bowl.

bend the stem. or take more meat of the underbelly of the bowl.

i actually thought about a slight bend in the stem but wanted some opinions on it before i did it.
