130102 - Apple - Tan Blast

Post by bandkbrooks »

Still monkeying around with my friends blaster. I went for a much less craggy blast this time. Looking back I wish had understained a second time and blasted lightly again after that.

I like the fact that you are learning to do what you want... but I think I prefer the craggy blast. And I think you are right about the color, its a bit too bland. Ofcourse I like tranny style dramatic, so what the hell do I know

I do like the size and shape of the pipe

well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin

"but what would be smoking to excess?"

Why smoking two pipes at once of course

The stem/shank junction should be tightened up and the button lacks definition and height.

+ what rev said. :)

The behind the button area is still perplexing me at time regarding crispness. Yeah the color is definitely bland. I can put a dress on the stummel if that would help as well.

Thanks guys.

Brandon I think that this is one of your better pipes to date. I like how the blast turned out. The stummel also seems fairly well proportioned.

I offer only this for advice and not really critique: you may want to make the stem narrower at the bit as far as width is concerned. A bit that is too wide might not be as comfortable in the teeth.

Brandon

I agree with Ocelot.. and honestly said really like this one above all the rest.. great job...

but... Uber is right with tightening up the junction.. and personally I think it would look better thinner on the bit end.. but that is just my personal opinion

Looking at it again, I think Jessie and James have it right. The button should be a little more narrow.

That is probably my favorite you have done so far Brandon. Good shaping. Like the blast. Good job.
