Mistral

Post by Massis »

So yeah, I've decided to start naming my pipes...

Anyway, this is the third pipe I made (not counting the kit last year).
The block was an ebauchon from Jaume Hom, the mouthpiece is handcut from acrylic bar from Janzen.
The objective was a partially rusticated poker for a friend of mine, who traded me his Big Ben Lombok (always wanted one) for this.

There are - of course - some issues, such as a base which is nearly flat, but the pipe doesn't lean on in. Instead it leans back a bit (still stands though).
I'm actually quite proud of this one, but nonetheless I'm looking for some constructive criticism on this one.

Here goes:

It appears as though the links are broken. No image is showing.

Massis,

I did a check of edit of your post to see it I could fix it because of a minor code error or something similar. I can't fix it that way. The free image host you are using does not provide for an imbedded image.

the links were correct but you can only see them if you've seen them on postimage before apparently.

I swapped them over to imageshack, so the problem should be fixed!

That's a nice pipe! However, I'll go with full rustication.
