Seriously though, that's a beautiful piece of wood, beautifully shaped from what I can see in the pics. The only thing I'm not liking is the way the stem meets the shank It's a bit jarring to the eye, and doesn't go with the flow of the pipe..

There was a pipe there? All I saw was that grain very well finished. Upon further inspection, I like the pipe as well. Your work shows me how much more I need to learn about staining. Nice job!
