Freehand "Juan Gris"

Post by maxmil »

This time the pipe design as adapted to the grain, not grain design. The purpose of doing so was not to sever the vein in any of the sides of the pipe, and get the "bird's eye", restricted to the top.
As a pipe out somewhat "cubist" called it "Juan Gris" in homage to one of the Spanish painters creator of Cubism.

Great job with the grain - a truly "sensitive" pipe.

First off...the grain is amazing and you did a great job of displaying it. Secondly...I'm not sure I would care for that stem material anywhere else, but on this pipe I think it is just perfect. Well done.

Hola Felix,
as your name suggests you have a 'lucky' hand and truly it is a pipe through the prism of cubism!
The rich straight grain and massive appearance dominates and than it focuses along the stem i imagine to a thin line of smoke...

Best,
Abi

I appreciate your comments, but rarely is a pipe, and I think that appeals to many people.

Very nice. I like the shape and the stem material is beautiful.

Bravo!
