Hello everyone,
I just finished this one up. It started life as a lovat, but flaws in the shank quickly turned it into a classic billiard, and then into a bamboo billiard, the first bamboo pipe I've made.
Critique is welcome as always!

Re: bamboo billiard
I like it.
Having said that, bamboo is not usually cut so close to the knuckle as it is on the stummel end. The bowl looks a tiny bit big for the diameter of the shank. Also, the flare on the stem has too abrupt of a drop off into the saddle.
Other than that, I think you did good.

Re: bamboo billiard
Very nice. My only comment is I'd have the top of the bowl perpendicular to the chamber instead of parallel with the shank. "Speedy" with this pipe doesn't work, imo.

Thanks alot guys!
Yup, completely agree with you on that, I guess I didn't pay close enough attention to the angle of the top when sanding trough the grits.Tyler wrote:Very nice. I did think about that when the pipe was finished, maybe not that the bamboo was cut to close to the knuckle, but that the bamboo wasn't cut an equal distance from the knuckles on the stem- and stumel-side.sandahlpipe wrote:I like it.
