$3,5 million Dunnie :D
$3,5 million Dunnie :D
Woohoo, just look at that!
Too bad the pipe is nowhere near as good as the rest of the case... That palmwood ornamentations are crazy beautiful!
The funny thing is they say it took 6 years to complete, but the pipe itself is something most good pipemakers could make within a day's work.
Not to mention the jewelled parts are just really tacky.
And yes, the price is a 3 and a 5 and then five zeros

(if someone can make the video load inside the post that would be great, I tried and failed)

So what you're actually paying for is the display case, which is actually kind of gorgeous. $3.5 mill though? That's... nutty. Too bad the pipe is unattractive. Nice grain though.

I agree with Mr. Pastuch.
Re: $3,5 million Dunnie :D
It's funny because it made wonder what could you actually buy for that amount of money...
And you could actually commission the most amazing seven day set from the best of the best of world's pipemakers, all the pipes being exquisite top grade examples of pipemaking art. Then you could have a box made by the best furniture maker in the world with the most precious woods of the world, maybe with pipe and tobacco themed incrustations.
You could buy all that and still have about..... 3 million dollars left for tobacco
Or you can buy a factory pipe, cover it with glue and sprinkle some diamonds on it

I'll bet there's a certain person who used to frequent this forum who would be happy to take your 3 million and make you a single pipe with synthetic diamonds and feel like he gave you a good deal...W.Pastuch wrote:It's funny because it made wonder what could you actually buy for that amount of money...

Fit for a king! (Of which I am not)

I'm embarrassed for them.
On a more positive note, I'm glad to see Mike Messer has secured a post in Dunhill's pricing department!

They made it quite clear that the stem has a white dot. That's got to be worth at least $1M.
