Logo Stamps
Re: Logo Stamps
Oh, I thought you were saying it was a miracle that you got the stamp on without screwing it up... I thought it'd be funny if saints did those kind of miracles. Cure diseases? NOPE! Today we're stamping pipes!
Hello, I'm #1312.
That's a really big number.

Re: Logo Stamps
Do you guys use a arbor press to apply your mark? I've been wedging my stamp under my drill press, it works, but I'd like a better option. Ideas?

Re: Logo Stamps
I bought an arbor press to use for my stamp and have never even taken it out of the box. Get a billiard ball or turn a scrap piece of wood round. drill a hole in it and epoxy your stamp in. Makes a great handle that you can get a good grip on.
Am I Calamity Jane or Annie Oakley??...depends on the day.

Re: Logo Stamps
I tried stamping on my drill press, but found that it's hard to move sideways to get the stamp even, so I resorted it to doing it by hand, rather than building a rig to hold the stummel and allow for the rocking motion required.
Re: Logo Stamps
If the stamping surface is flat and the pipe fits in my makeshift brace, I stamp on my drill press. Otherwise I just stamp by hand. I use billiard balls for handles and they work great.
Re: Logo Stamps
I'm getting mine from Buckeye Engraving right now and I'd recommend them. They do good work quickly for a fair price.
