Post by BigCasino »

Here is a couple shots of a billiard I made I had a few more angles but the pictures are either horribly dark or blurry, taking good pics is the hardest part

The proportions seem pretty good on this. It might be the angle on the second photo- but it may be worth taking a teensy bit more meat off right before the bowl on the top line of the shank- the photo makes it appear to slope up.

As far as stem goes, this is factory made, correct?

I would do a bit of adjustment with the button work especially, it's a bit chubby still. Also spending some time getting scratches out of the rest of the stem will do wonders for the over-all appearances.

Lastly, I'd say the stem itself seems ill-suited to a billiard shape. I usually think of billiards as having crisper stem lines, not so curvy.

However, all in all this is a great stab at the Billiard!

Keep it up man!

Cheers!

Thanks for the advice, about the stem, less curvy you mean more of a direct taper ?

Wow, best billiard I've seen offered in a long time. Well done.

Stem stinks, but its a preformed, so it's not your fault.

Time to cut your own stems.

Excellent, BC.

At your experience level that is a very sharp looking billiard. You knocked this one outta the park. Just a little more work cleaning up the lines. (probably already better than what I could do! )

Oh, yeah, and I agree with Tyler, ditch those darned pre-formed stems!
