I can make you photo essay, this week making these stems, if you wish so :)

and i used cherrywood for this stem, but friend of mine told me, for bending is beech wood more suitable.

I agree with Sas, I would call it a Rhodesian. Pretty decent work.

I like the Rhodesian. It reminds me of a pipe that I bought from Edward's shortly after I first started smoking. It was the same shape, but a tad taller.

Nice work Heri. I like the rhodesian. It looks unique and original without looking unusual. Good job.

I second the request for the wooden churchwarden stem tutorial. I have seen a guy do something similar on YouTube, but his were kinda crude. The video is below. I thought that the idea of drilling around curves was neat. I assume that you are drilling and then bending, instead of bending then drilling, as this guy is.

yes, I used lathe, Im a bit ashamed now :D.

so I said I will make photo essay, here it is

I have kinda small lathe so first i need to get wood into right shape to fit in it, or else i wouldnt be able to make it round. its about 16 inch long in your language.

ma tools

Shorter bit i use for making guide hole, longer goes for range. I then chuck the wood all the way down in lathe shaft, so i can drill it with tailstock from both sides
Image

at the end of shaft wood goes offcenter so i made this attachment to center it back, I had a few totally unusable drilling last time i did this stems.
Image

when the wood is drilled, i pull out my steaming equipment :D, fire, hotplate, some grid and a tinfoil

I let it in the steam for about 1hour, (one hookah session) and get it into template

This is how i bend stems, there is alot of things to improve here i know, but its working o_O
And now I realized that I almost forget to speak english :D I had hard time writing this.

Nice work on the pipes. The Rhodesian is classy and the churchwarden is very nice. Also thanks for the look at your Cherry stem making process, I wish more people did this.
Thus o’er my pipe, in contemplation
Of such things, I can constantly
Indulge in fruitful meditation
And so, puffing contentedly,
On land, on sea, at home, abroad,
I smoke my pipe and worship God.
