first pipes from a very young "carver"
first pipes from a very young "carver"
Well, these are a tad unconventional, but very promising . I came home today from work to find that my 6 year old son had produced some pieces of art all on his own (I don't think mom encouraged him to make these ).
Please note the colors and careful use of symmetry. The first four images are of two pipes, the fifth is a tobacco tin with "peach" tobacco, the sixth is a lighter with flame, and the final is a box of matches (the proper lighting instrument).
I think this is a promising start... enjoy.
The "Red Pipe"
The "Gray, Green and Brown Pipe"
The tobacco tin with "peach" tobacco (don't worry, I'll steer him away from those nasty aro's)
The lighter with flame
The matchbox

Wow, and only 6 years old. I think you've got a prodigy on your hands.
Re: first pipes from a very young "carver"
This is like one of those articles about over the top pipe makers who were making pipes out of anything they could get their hands on at an early age. I'd get him into briar and ebonite ASAP!

Dude, that is so cool to see how he emulates you. My boys are 3 and 1, and the way they repeat the things I say or imitate what I do really gives me pause.
As for you...Sasquatch wrote:I definitely see an Ernie Markle influence in those.
