My First Horn

Post by Wallaby »

I decided to stop practicing on oak and buy some briar. Well, although it has pits all over it, it's much easier to shape than oak. I really like the way this one turned out. This is my first ever stem I turned on my lathe. I worked on this pipe for several hours trying to get it right. I'm very tired. Good night all.

That's not bad looking at all.

I'd call it a horn rather than a Dublin though.

This is the pipe that I copied. Made by R.M. Perkins. This was a fun pipe to make.
