I haven't posted a pipe here in a long time. Here's my latest - probably around the twentieth I've made. I like to have one hanging in my mouth while I'm in the shop, and I've been smoking a lot of G-H & S-G lakeland flakes lately, so I decided to make this little (5" long), very light pipe.
#20?
Re: #20?
This is my kind of pipe, Fred. I'm sure some of these guys might have some helpful critiques, but dude I like this one as is. Well done, man.

I like it too. Looks really well built.
I'm going to offer you some stuff to think about because I'm not on totally solid footing with some of these ideas myself.
The shank is well formed, but is it bent subtly or is it straight, tapering or not? Or does it have a bit of a "waist" in the middle? I would suggest that it's slightly bent, and if this is the case, a little more curve could be developed along that bottom line.
The back of the bowl presents as a straight line. It's darn near the only straight line on the pipe, and on a flowing eggy sort of shape, it hits me a little abrubtly.
Button looks bigger than I would purchase.
But as I say, it's a nice looking pipe and the ring is a great touch.
Kind of a weird piece of briar, grain wise, eh?

ALL YOUR PIPE ARE BELONG TO US!
Re: #20?
That's a pretty nice looking pipe there Fred. I like it a lot. I'm having a hard time finding anything to criticize. If there's anything that could stand to be improved to take this pipe from good to great it would be the overall lines/flow of the pipe as Sas already described but it's still a successful and handsome pipe. Nice work.
