yep, made it to the bone. worst part is, i got my rod stock today and can't work on any pipes for a bit

Huh, a couple of weeks ago I was holding a bit with my left hand and pulled it with too much force (I was trying to remove some electrical tape.) I got three nasty cuts, two in my finger and one in my thumb. Luckily, it was a 2.5mm bit so the cuts weren't deep.

Ouch! That looks a bit like my thumb after I jammed it all the way onto a food processing blade. Maybe a glove or rag next time you pry using a drill bit? :)

I just put a 5/16 bit into my index finger today. I was not making pipes, but I'm out for a few days while this heals. I did not make it to the bone; I'm lucky, the doctor told me. Hit an arterial vein though. Was a mess. Heal up quick!

I have GOT to get me one of those signs! :lol:

The now-defunct Trip-Air power hammer came with a sticker placed at eye level on the air cylinder that read "Danger: engage brain before operating machine." Always liked that one too.
