A couple Tampers

Post by bvartist »

I was in my workshop yesterday wanting to create something but wasn't getting any inspiration to make a pipe. So I opted to make a few tampers. I made 4, one of them I messed up, one I haven't finished yet and these two. I like doing wood turning so it was a rewarding experience.

The one on the left is Bubinga, and the one on the right is Bubinga, Maple and English Walnut. Both have a briar foot. Thought it might be a good way to use up those small pieces of briar I have sitting around.

Thought you guys might like to take a look!

Very nice indeed. And good idea with adding the briar foot to protect from buring.

I like them both.
Man I need a lathe!
