Re: For All You Newbies...

Great post Ernie. I traded a pipe I made for a Calabash as I had been wanting one for years. I specifically asked for HONEST feedback on my work (glad I did not stamp the pipe :D ). I was lucky enough to get the honest feedback and am focusing on the suggested areas needing improvement. It made me e...

Good video Chris. I have seven more questions; :D

Really just one. Are you applying a compound to the final disc (the Abralon disc)?

Thanks.

Re: Applying 1200 blue tripoli

I used a new 8" buffing wheel. It will put a shine but does put a slight tint. I am going to try white HF1. I believe this is what is commonly used but am not sure yet. Waiting for a response.

The white compound is generally preferred if only because it isn't blue. Pounding blue compound into the pores of a pipe is a drag. Would that be Matchless brand white HF1 (product code)? I too bought the damn blue from pipe makers emporium and am not happy with it at all. It does change the color ...

Re: 2012 Pipe In the Hat Trade

It isn't finished yet. I still have to drill a hole on the "tube". There will be a Delrin tenon to fit the bowl to the tube. Just figured I would post as everyone is wanting to draw. If this does not fit the criteria I completely understand and no feelings will be hurt.

I like it as is Brandon. AND the engineering is sound with that sleeve in there. Who knows, it might darken from natural oils on your hands. Great piece. :)

Re: 130204 - Sandblasted Lovat - Kentucky Huntsman Series

Digging it Brandon! I am wondering if the antler will darken or is there SS tubing involved? I think it would killer with the antler a little "yellowed". But no yellow, yellow.

Nice work.
