Re: Conspiracy theories

Oh, now I get the picture of your last post!

Yes, my pipe I posted as my first, really was my very first attempt at pipemaking:

And yes, I agree on what you said about Eder's pipe! Congrats Eder!

Sure it was. You know... the Lambo (and my first car was a bobbycar, remember?). Thought you knew it - but the pictures are probably better than the real pipe...

Stumpy Pot

Hi folks, this has been a busy week! I merely had time to check in once in a while and look at the pipes everyone was posting, showing guts and spirit - my compliments to all makers, nice work! Todd, too bad you didn't make it to the Speyer meeting last weekend. It was a great event, spending the ni...

Re: First Pipe - Black Walnut

How well did the wax hold up on the pipe, i know that after a while wax tends to come off of cherrywood. Also what kinds of wax did you use to get that shine my friend? :) Sorry, hadn't seen the question. It has been a busy week... I had the impression, the wax (carnauba btw) came off faster than o...

Re: Tried to copy Walle

Hi, I think from things said I can guess what this pipe in the hat thing is but it would be great nevertheless if you guys could explain it to me in detail. Thanks in advance! Don't know about the copying walle theme though. What would walle do if he wants to join....? As for that, don't worry - he ...

Re: Walking On The Moon

Thank you all for the very friendly comments on this pipe! Just put an aluminium tube from the bit to the tobacco chamber... In fact it is V2A stainless steel... 8) Give me a similar model with a 9mm filer and I will buy it in a heart beat! OK, that would be a 10 mm 'outer tube'... IMHO th...

Re: Compliments for Pipe Makers

Yes. Thank you. Best, Steffen ? Thank you for typing. Sorry man, just kidding! Yes, I meant both and the truth lies, as so very often, in the middle. You could call it 'conscious use'. Inconscious or careless use is no compliment and not using it at all is depriving the pipe of its purpose. ...

Re: Walking On The Moon

Thanks guys! I would have liked to see this pipe with a traditional smooth, glossy finish. That being said, I really like the shape of this pipe. Your stem work is magnificent and serves as a valuable lesson and reminder to me; I need to stop seeing the stem and stummel as separate entities when sha...

Walking On The Moon

Hi lads (and lasses), just finished a pipe, I'm curious what you think of it. Despite the fact that there are no volcanos on this big yellow pumpkin in the sky, I named it "Walking On The Moon". You may imagine whatever you like... http://www.abload.de/img/pa206897xoj8.jpg http://www.abloa...

Hi Daniel,

that's a nice pipe. I like the basic idea, especially on the shank. I think your friend will be happy and maybe you can refine this idea in future pipes.

Re: Virgin Volcano

Hi Pär, I like asymetrical Volcanos very much. I agree on the wavy line issue though. It is tricky to go asymetrical on the one side and remain a nice fluent line on the other... I like that the pipe seems to tilt slightly to the left following the grain! :D One last thing that occured to me: The li...
