Re: Shaping & shining the crease behind the button (VIDEO)

Great videos, Lat. Thank you very much!
It would be great to see how Todd does it, also. I'd be interested to hear about the scraping knife, how to properly make it and how it's used. I imagine that's been covered here before tho - I'll search for any refs.

Who's Currently Making the Best Stamp for Pipes?

Can anyone advise me on a company (or person) who can make a good sharp stamp? I worked with A&M, but that was 20 yrs ago, and I don't know if Paul is still at it?? Also, I don't remember exactly how I handled the design - I may have drafted exactly what I wanted, but I seem to remember, I sent ...

I think you're right, Rev - you could sell it for very close to that any time. I've been watching these myself, and that one looks good compared to the others available.

Re: Algerian briar price list and size chart

I'm in the market right now for some medium sized plateaux, and would like opinions of Yazid's Algerian vs Mimmo's usual stock (Spanish??). It appears Mimmo's is actually a little cheaper when you consider the shipping is included. Of course, I don't want to pinch a few bucks if Yazid's is clearly s...

Re: Pipe reaming tool

Hope you don't all run me out of town on a rail, but I have a different method that has served me well for 30 years or so. I use a straight-sided (cylindrical) 1/2" carbide burr with a round end on it - the kind you get in the hardware store with the very rough dendritic surface made for wood c...

I'm a Dallas kid - live in Arlington, but work in Dallas. Tried to go to a Dallas club meeting once on the NE side. Took about 45 mminutes to get there, and no one showed. I would participate in a show. I'd show for a meeting now and then too; if it were a little more central it would sure help.

I smoke probably ten, twelve bowls a day. I'm hooked on Peterson's University Flake. Like a bowl of Royal Yaght or Nightcap (both Dunhill) maybe once a day. Used to smoke Mc's 27 years ago, and also St. Bruno before they stopped importing. If any of you have similar tastes and would like to suggest ...

Reamer

I picked up a used reamer in a used tool store, and it works quite nicely with a guide hole about the same as the small end. Don't know the exact slope, but I'd guess maybe 2 degrees.
