Scottie pencil shank

Post by notow1 »

Scottie You have been making some nice pencil shanked pipes so I thought I would try. I got it started but was hoping You could give Me some advice on what to do next. Here is a photo of what I have so far. Thanks for any help, Norm.Image

Nice work, Norm, but I think your stem taper should start a little earlier for comfort.

I don't know norm. If you were going for a pencil shank, I'd say you succeeded.

Screw that....I can't even figure out how a diamond one would work. I'm going to make a "Scottie" with an oversized shank and send it to Jesse to diamond it up.

This is why mechanical pencils are sooooo much easier and safer to work with!
