Another first.

This is my first attempt to make a classic billiard, exept for the shank which I think is a bit to pencily to be a proper billiard. For those of you who have seen that post, this is the "doomed" block that I used to try the "etch a sketch" method for the first time, and that I never intended to finish due to alot of cracks and stuff in it. However, I felt happy with the result of the experimentation and decided to finish it anyway to keep for myself. And that folks, is how this turned into my first attempt to make a proper billiard (exept for the shank like I said :))

Anyway, I'll smoke it and see for how long it'll last. To postpone that burnout, you are welcome to just give a quick receipe for a bowl coating made from stuff you have at home, I know I can find them on the forum but just a quick note would be appreciated! :D

Just to be clear, since this was never intended to be finished, I wasn't very "precision minded" in the beginning of the making of this one, and the result is for example that the mortis isn't in the centre of the shank. And to not waste pristine ebonite I used an old piece that I screwed up the tenon on, the fit it good, but it looks like crap, so thats why I don't have pictures of the stem and stummel seperated, because they aren't finished to my best ability. And the pipe looks really dull, but it's not. :)

As always, give me honest critique and tell me what I can do better! And I have to stop writing these long discriptions, they are probably driving you guys insane, but I'm I person who likes to clarify stuff! :D

It's a major get-out-of-the-house holiday weekend in the US, and USians make up most of the board.

No worries. They'll be back to shred your work and make you wish you'd taken that banking job soon enough.

Looks pretty good. The cracks are a shame. The bottom of the bowl is a tad wide and flat for a billiard. Keep on working at it!
