Red/White striped stem material?

Has anyone got something like this I can buy a piece of? One of my customers young daughters sent me a lovely handwritten letter and drawing a pipe she would like me to make for her dad. The design calls for a red and white striped "like a humbug" stem. Unfortunately I don't have anything like this but I am going to try my hardest to find some so I don't disappoint her.

Yeah I looked on ebay but I couldn't find a suitable striped blank.

I've been looking for you but all I've seen are swirls or large stripes, nothing small and repetitive like in the drawing. Does your supplier for polyester have something like the clown rods you got recently? ;)

No they don't unfortunately. Their selection of Reds in general is poor :(

You might give Jim Cooke a call. He casts his own acrylic stems all the time, and has done some really out-there stuff.

Are red strip inlays a totally stupid idea? I'm sure that would be challenging, or impossible?
