Removing 1/2" adapter in Beall Arbor

I've just upgraded my motor that has a 5/8" shaft. Previously, I had the Beall Arbor on a 1/2" shaft with the adapter installed in the arbor. The adapter is an aluminum tube with 1/2" ID and 5/8" OD. It fits very tight.

Anyone ever remove one once it's in? Any ideas?

I may try putting the arbor in a vice and slowly chisel a tool under the adapter, bend a corner up, lubricate it, and try to grab it and slide it out.

Bearing/gear puller. No chisel/vise combo.

Thanks. Now I just have to find one. Even the harbor freight ones aren't cheap.

try auto supply like Oreilly's, autozone, or advanced auto care. They rent them.

Take it to your local mechanics along with a few beers.
