Barbi articles on pricing?

Hey everyone,
Remember those articles by Rainer Barbi on high grade pricing? Does anyone have them on their computer? Or maybe a working link?
The German site that hosted the articles seems to be down and I cannot find them anywhere else...

I'm in the process of retrieving those articles from the person who run that website, I'm just not sure if I'll get the English version or the German original. If all goes well I'll try to share them here.

Yep. Most here probably don't realize that pipedia was birthed from this forum.

When you get the articles, I bet you can send them along to Scott (Thile) and he'd publish them on pipedia. You might ask permission for that if the fellow finds the articles for you.

I have the articles on my computer, now I'm waiting to see if their author/owner will consent to publish them on Pipedia.

I'm a little surprised that an article on that topic was written by Rainer.
He never sold a pipe to a customer. He would only sell to his distributors.

I'd love to hear Rainer's take on things today, a decade later. He was obviously a big picture thinker and a straight talker. (The German Trever T, sort of.)

Very interesting take on things. I think the nature of online pipe purchasing has changed since this article though. Not entirely mind you- social media pipemakers are all over the place- but a large portion of American carvers have begun selling without a retailer. Hell- most of my work sells without a retailer. It makes a huge difference. I like how the last words in the article are him predicting a rise of the American pipe school... great foresight!
