Scheduling a Regular Google+ Hangout

Hey guys,

Once upon a time, there was a scheduled hangout for the members of PMF. Well, I think it's time to resurrect ye olde traditione.

Please choose Weekly or Monthly and one day a week which is normally best for you from the poll above.

Volunteers for Hosts

I'd like to have at least three people who will be responsible for hosting this whether it's weekly or monthly. This way, if one host is unavailable, there are two others who can take the reigns.

I'll volunteer, which leaves two more volunteers needed. Please volunteer publicly in this thread. Once we have three hosts we'll call it good.

Instructions on joining a Google+ Hangout

1. You must have a Gmail account and sign up for Google+ to join. If you don't have a gmail account, you can get one here: https://accounts.google.com/SignUp?serv ... l%2F&hl=en
2. You must have a webcam with a microphone or a smartphone with a front facing (rear facing for Tyler and BigCasino) camera to participate. A webcam can be had pretty cheaply and I think they're worth it. Here's the one I own and recommend: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Webcam-W ... ech+webcam
3. You must have the host in your circles (friends) on Google+. Once you join Google+, simply add everyone from the forum that you know to your circles. Once they add you back you should be good.
4. Once all of the above are complete, joining a Google+ video hangout is incredibly easy.
- Login to Google+
- Navigate to the host's Google+ page
- Join the hangout that they're hosting
- Voila!

If I missed anything in these instructions, please let me know and I'll update the OP.

I don't see any harm in doing the chats weekly- it'll be just as tough for people to make it monthly- we can schedule out a ways, which might help, but more mtgs. give more options to join.

I always log out of Google + if I see DSHpipes on there before I get roped into giving out too much info, but lots of times it's people I wanna talk with like Scottie.

I protest on the grounds daily and hourly are not options in the poll. There should be more options to stand up Scottie.

Looks like the majority has spoken!

We'll start weekly hangouts this Friday at 9pm. Everyone who is in my Pipe Makers circle has been invited. If you did not receive an invite and would like to, please add me on Google+ before this Friday and I'll make sure you receive an invite.

I'm not anti-anything. Ernie was the one asking about being bi. I figure if he wants to talk about that stuff, he should find some other forum, that's all.

Ladies, ladies (and Scottie),

You're all very pretty, even though Ernie has the most luxurious hair.

This will move forward as a weekly meeting (although those who are bi are welcome) but there is no obligation to attend, unless you want anyone to stay your friend. If you want to ditch Todd, skipping once should be enough to free you (he's sensitive that way).

I look forward to seeing everyone at the weekly bi optional non-obligatory pipe love-fest next Friday.
