If I could afford to live there and have medical benefts Id do it in a minute, The opportunity for me to learn the trade and help you grow the business would be my dream job. Not many people are doing what they are passionate about. You're a lucky man. If you are serious we can chat at the meetup.

I like the idea of a real pipe making school where all topics are covered. Guest speakers. People would pay 500.00/week and maybe have 5 sessions,

Bob

Well, I am hoping next year to move the pipe making workshop into a separate facility that is 1000 sqft or more. Should be able to host quite a bit more in that space. I first need to get one or two more pipe makers on staff. Anyone interested?

Don't tempt me.
Jesse, do it.

You're not helping, George!

It's not an easy thing to pick up and move from Texas to Ohio, although not impossible, especially at this juncture of my life.

Jesse, if nothing else, get some shop time in with Premal and Bill. It won't make your pipes worse, that's for sure.

I am very serious, and have been speaking with a few people, but nothing is finalized yet. I do not think I could afford you Bob. Pipe making is not a lucrative business and it is hard to support a family by making pipes. I am always open to talking about it. Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks. This meetup is going to rock.

I think there are a few people that do have a pipe school like thing going on - Tim West, and a few others, but they charge $500+ per day which is a bargain.

y'all need to move to VT and create the pipe making epicenter here. Who doesn't love VT?

hopefully I can make it next year to the meetup, even though it's in Ohio

My vote is for the epicenter to be located somewhere warm. I'm over this Indiana winter. We should all crash Walt's house.

Honestly Jesse, Columbus is pretty damn cool. A whole lot bigger than Canyon, but I think you could get used to it. Go check it out some time.
Also, Premal is a hell of a good guy if you don't know him that well.

I don't know if anyone cares, but I found some decent rates at the Red Roof Fairgrounds. It is about 10 minutes from the shop. I usually look for low end places since I am not interested in the pool, laundry, exercise room, conference room, blah blah blah. And I have stayed in too many expensive places that deliver one star service for five star prices. The Days Inn looked a little too rough around the edges though, so I upgraded to 1 1/2 stars.

I have no comment. Just wanted to record that since Premal will delete it after he realizes what he stepped in.

Does that make OSU a juggernaut? Which is different than an astronaut. 8) But he is right. Ohio is too flat.
