He wasn't the first. I think that credit goes to Jorne Micke, if I'm not mistaken. I'm also told Bo Nordh had vulcanite replacement handle on his lathe that was of similar design.

The one I saw was his first, I think, based on the gag factor and all the WTF joking that accompanied its, um, unveiling, The summer of 2010, if memory serves. I figured it was a one-off deal, bein' so disgusting and all.

The Danish style is akin the ballet: lithe, graceful, flowing, feminine.

Whaaaat?! Go sharpen your axe, clean your rifles, pour yourself a Scotch and maybe 'rassle a cow to the ground. They're good looking, but "ballet" and "feminine" aren't words a manly man (a man from TEXAS!) is allowed to use to describe Danish pipes. Five yard penalty on that one.

I'm gonna second that at least five yards... is there a penalty of more than five yards? If so, invoke that

I think that's a replacement handle for Brad Pohlmann's lathe or some other tool he had that was missing a handle.

Nah, it's posted on Smoking Pipes. Legitimate fodder for discussion without asking permission, IMO. Maker's pipes get discussed in different forums all the time.

It's a very well executed bulldog for sure. I don't like the pinched style of the stem at the saddle though. I wish he would have gone with a stem the same width as the shank.

I agree completely. That looks like a case of self-editing that didn't kick in soon enough. Usually less is more when it comes to geometric, angular shapes.
