Hey guys,
I finished this one up yesterday. It'll be with me in Chicago.

"but rev, isn't smoking a sin?"
well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin
"but what would be smoking to excess?"
Why smoking two pipes at once of course

Re: Warthog
Not many over-the-top blasts are interesting to me---deeper doesn't automatically mean better, imo---but the shattered look you've achieved here is compelling.
Is it something you can do at will, or does the wood decide?
Also, are you planning to enter the KC carving contest, UHM? Judging by that pipe, you take this whittling business pretty seriously.

UFOs must be real. There's no other explanation for cats.
Re: Warthog
I've only done a few blasts, but I think it's a combination of what the wood wants, the technique you're using, and your skill at that technique.LatakiaLover wrote:Not many over-the-top blasts are interesting to me---deeper doesn't automatically mean better, imo---but the shattered look you've achieved here is compelling.

I was thinking of whittling something up.LatakiaLover wrote:Also, are you planning to enter the KC carving contest, UHM? Judging by that pipe, you take this whittling business pretty seriously.
Re: Warthog
That blast is incredible, David. This is my favorite pipe that you have made.
What's your blasting situation; do you have your own now?

Don't have my own set up yet. May be a while, actually. I just don't have the space. In the mean time, I have Nate King to thank for opening up his shop to me. Dude's got a great space, even if you do trip a breaker every once in a while.
Re: Warthog
I really like this pipe, well done.
Btw, Halo or Hakuna Matata? Wait, nevermind
