10th Pooka Pipe

Post by Pooka »

I haven't posted a pipe in so long... So here's one I finished in a week. Well, mostly finished. The stem needs some more sanding at the tip. It's my second From Scratch pipe with hand-cut stem and everything.

FAT STUBBY! It's 4.5" long, 2" high, Bowl is 2.5" diameter, Stem shank is 2 1/4" long. Chamber is 3/4".

Now there's one trick to this one. I took the risk of making this a One-Piece pipe, remembering how much I admired Random's pipes when he was still around long ago. My tools are not good for making real smooth, handy tenons, and I'm on a zero upgrade budget. It's a perfect seal and fit in there, just not pretty on the sides, so I fused it together.

So I'm going back through my posts and realize none of my other pipes exist here. Oh, well. Maybe I can pretend this is my FIRST pipe and get lots of wows. Haha.

Nifty lines. I also like the bevel on your button. Looks like it should be a good smoker. Enjoy!

It got good reviews at a smokin' hangout this weekend. My test subject liked the super huge draught.
