Got mine in the mail today!!!

For those of you who ordered bouchons, are you putting them in a humidor? I know pipe tobacco is a little less humid than cigars. One thing is for sure, if I leave them sitting in the drawer this west Texas weather will dry them out lickety-split.

Because of the wrapper leaf, yes. We put all of ours directly in the humidor. Heath smoked one, but we are going to let the rest age for a bit.

Ernie kicked me out of the commune because my hair wasn't as thick and vibrant as his

The tobacco has arrived at casa de Jensen thanks uber, Ernie does however have my package in his hand

"but rev, isn't smoking a sin?"

well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin

"but what would be smoking to excess?"

Why smoking two pipes at once of course

You'd do the right thing putting them in a humidor. I'd even suggest doing the same with the Semois. The reason it's so dry is to prevent mold while shipping etc, but in a clean environment a humidor should be perfect.

About aging: they're perfect when they're a few weeks old is what Vincent told me. The first few days they're too fresh to smoke, but after that they should be golden. No reason to let them age for years, they're not going to ferment and there's no additives to settle...

If he used the same wrapper leaf that he uses on his cigars they (at least the wrapper) should bloom. The Pablos we got are already blooming and one other box is showing signs that it is getting ready to.

Already? What humidity are you keeping them at?

The Pablos looked like they had been rolled for a while and are just starting to get a good bloom on. The other box looked like it had a bit of age on it as well (I don't remember which it was, maybe the Brumeux), but not quite as much. I think the humidor is set right at, or a little under, 70%. But, I'm not quite sure....Daddy doesn't let me near the thing  I don't even get to (or have to. depends on where you're sitting) dust it. Not that I'm complaining.

As Vincent only has one kind of leaf: pure semois, chances are the wrapper leaf is the same as the one used in his cigars.

You watch your bouchons age, I'll just enjoy smoking mine  (don't have a humidor)

Got mine today. Thanks again David and Massis for putting this together. Do we have a thread anywhere to talk about our impressions of this tobacco?

Mine arrived today. I'm anxious to fire some up tonight but a little anxious. Rarely does reality equal the hype but I'm hoping it does in this case. Are people mixing the stuff first?
