Anyone want to give this a go?

Post by Ocelot55 »

These just popped up on ebay. It made me wonder how a meerschaum with proper engineering would smoke.

I wouldn't mind trying it out, but I don't have 30 bucks to spare right now

"but rev, isn't smoking a sin?"

well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin

"but what would be smoking to excess?"

Why smoking two pipes at once of course

I was actually looking at these the other day as well. The blocks look extremely small and you could buy a finished meerschaum pipe for that price. Turkey won't export raw meerschaum so I'm guessing that's why it's selling for so much.

Please remember that not all meerschaum comes from Turkey, you can get (supposedly) poorer quality meer from Africa hence the like of Tanganyika,
