"but rev, isn't smoking a sin?"

well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin

"but what would be smoking to excess?"

Why smoking two pipes at once of course

It's really hard to critique this one, rev. All I will say is that every line and design element on the pipe needs to look deliberate. I see you've got a nice slot going on in that stem, though. That's always a good sign. Staining is great.

Kudos or tackling the blowfish shape so soon. I'm scared stiff to try one. In theory the seem simple, but they are so much harder in practice.

Can you show a shot of the stem separate from the stummel ?

its on its way to Australia now, so no I can't. Jesse, are you saying that the lines don't look deliberate to your eye?

Something just looks askew to me. I think it has to do with the weight of the bowl in comparison to how undefined the shank is from the bowl. Also look at the profile of the pipe. To me a blowfish has a continual line from bowl to shank. Look at this Gurra Blowfish and see if you can see what I mean:

Meh, that's why this pipe is so hard to critique. It's a freehand. What's right? I sure as hell don't know. I can only comment on what I think would make it more aesthetically pleasing.

FWIW, I really like the concept you put forward here of using as much raw plateau on one side as possible. Very interesting to see.

For me, the pipe is amorphous, it looks like a lump of clay. It needs definition.
