This guy immediately said he would sell it for 1,450 and I didn't even ask him to lower the price. So I will get it with some tools, possibly three and four jaw chucks but he isn't sure he has a four jaw, and the stand. He says it all works great. I am guessing the other plus is that if I do want to get something newer or better, I can basically sell this for what I bought it for.

Good things happen to those with patience. See, you've straightened up and your knuckles aren't dragging anymore.
I'm about done restoring my Logan. You can't beat good old American iron. Jump on it dude.

Hey Rev, nice lathe, you can't beat older American lathes. That being said 1400 plus dollars is insane for that lathe :banghead:
There are literally thousands of these lathes out there ( Southbend, Atlas etc.) I bought my atlas 10" for $300.00 on craigslist and went through it for another $200.00 There is allot out there be choosey. Don't mean to piss on the parade. Just one mans opinion.

well I was expecting to get it much cheaper than that since he went to 1450 before I even mentioned price

I think you're right, Rev - you could sell it for very close to that any time. I've been watching these myself, and that one looks good compared to the others available.
