moisture trap/seperator help!

So i guess it time to get one of these. never used it before....... so i am reading that they work of to 100 psi. i blast at 150 psi will this work. it seems i have a little moisture caking in the gun tip. months ago Chris said use a anti moisture pad..maybe a i need both!

Most of the moisture traps that I've seen work at up to 200 psi. You definitely need one of you don't have one. You're blasting at 150psi!!?? That's a lot of pressure!

The ones I have seen at lowes don't go to high enough pressure. Maybe your experience will be different. Bruce also recommended a harbor freight blasting cabinet to me. I don't think he wants the rest of us to learn how to blast!

Bruce told me to use peanut butter (Chunky) in my cabinet. I think something's up.

Tractor Supply sells Campbell Hausfeld brand that seems to work well. That's what I use.

I ended up buying one at Granger. Probably bought more than I needed. Paid something like $70.

I use 2 on mine as in the winter you can get a lot of water in the line, the first trap catches most, some still gets through to the second but I wouldn't think its much. I also use big packs of silica gel inside the cabinet to keep the media dry when not being used.

So far with these methods I have had zero problems with caking.

I have one from harbor freight (industrial air filter regulator, item #68247), it seems to work fine for me, but the air here in AZ is dry so it may not work as well in an area with higher humidity??, it is on sale now for 29.99 so if you are a cheapskate like me it might be worth a try.
