anyone interested in Algerian briar? SOLD OUT

Post by Vermont Freehand »

Hello everyone,

If I were to split up and sell 300 small/mini blocks of Algerian briar (Yazid's blocks), would anyone be interested in them? I should be able to charge less than Pipe Makers Emporium used to. I will only consider selling if there is good interest, since I still have to go through with buying them (from someone in US, not from Yazid). You do not need to buy them all, just let me know how many you might be interested in. Feel free to either reply here or pm me. I will wait until the middle of April to purchase them, just thought I'd see if there is any interest now.

I could have;
150 tassili plateaux, 24.00 each
100 cirta plateaux, 8.50 each
50 tassili ebauchon, 6.00 each
all prices do not include shipping

plateaux will approximately measure 1 3/4 - 1 7/8 width, 2 - 2 1/4 height, 3 - 4 length
ebauchon will approximately measure 1 5/8 - 1 3/4 width, 2 - 2 1/4 height, 3 - 4 length

EDITED to change subject to indicate all sizes available

I wouldn't mind some of the cirta, but I wouldn't be able to afford very many.

I would be interested in maybe 20 blocks. I have been periodicly Checking pme's site for a while, are they not supplying blocks anymore? The briar I have been using lately seems to have pits in 2 out of 3 blocks that result in me keeping the pipe. I now have about 12 personal smokers i have made. I don't need many more of those! Lol

Carolyn at PME sent out an email a while back about that. Apparently they had a sizable order in with Yazid and he absconded with their money, as he did with quite a few others'. I came very close to putting in an order with him...I'm really glad I didn't.

I'd be interested in the Cirta Plateau and Tassili Ebauchons. Probably 10 of the Plateau and 20 of the ebauchons.

I was just curious. It has been about A year since they had stock in all styles of blocks. That really sucks for PME. Losing the money for a personal order of 30 or 40 blocks is bad, but I am sure PME had an order for several hundred blocks.

Ok guys, I've been haggling trying to get all sizes, not just minis. The guy wants a lot of money, but we are almost at an agreed price. If this pans out in the next week or so, I'll either have most all sizes or nothing. Large and gigantic sizes are limited if any at all.

Good news !!!! I just reached an agreement on a price for ALL sizes. I'll be going to pick them up midweek. Once I get them and inspect them, I'll be ready to send them out.

Since I'm paying much more than anticipated, the only deals I can give are;
-orders above $100 take 5% off
-orders above $250 take 10% off
-orders above $500 take 15% off

Shipping prices not included, to be determined depending on where you live.

PM me with exactly what you would like to have reserved for you, and when they are boxed up and ready to ship, I'll accept payments.

There are limited amounts of all sizes, but I'll post when any sizes sell out.

Since all sizes will be available, I'll disregard any previous requests and allow everyone to request new amounts. So if you still want the same amount of minis, let me know.

ALL SOLD OUT
