first pipe re-worked

i decided to re-work my first pipe. and this is what i came up with... it's a little more my speed now. and much lighter weight. please let me know what you think.

Nice. That is just about the right size for me. The contrast of the stain looks pretty good as well. The stem/shank transition could be a little tighter, but it's not bad either. Nice work.

Very nice work! I've been striving to get the billiard shape down for about a month now and it looks like your first pipe is WAY better than everyone of my attempts. Good job! Looks like you'll be making some very nice pipes! I look forward to seeing your next pipe.

That is gorgeous! I love the contrast staining, and it's the perfect size too!

Very nice billiard. The cant looks like it could be a degree or two more but not bad. The stem is still a touch thick and the slot work could be better but practice makes perfect.

That's a great pipe, you took the right decision to re-work it.

That's a great first pipe. Following up on Wayne's comments re: the stem, if you start the taper right after the stem-shank junction, it will keep things looking more streamlined. Keep it up!
