Syrian Latakia disaster...what did you do?

I bought a 2 oz tin and and 8 oz tin of Bohemian Scandal as soon as I heard.

I'd have been disappointed if you hadn't.

Of course, at the rate I smoke, my 10 ozs. is probably equivalent to several pounds for other folks, especially at my rate of latakia consumption. For example, I basically did the identical order for all of the Syrian blends last time they ran out of it -- Memphisto, Raven's Wing, Renessiance -- and I haven't touched that yet.

I don't smoke latakia at all for the most part. I buy all my latakia for sinful investment purposes.

Well, I bought a couple of pounds of Bob's Flake and Best Brown. I don't wanna be caught short if theres a fire in Cumbria. I don't smoke too much Latkia myself. I do have two 8 oz tins of Bomemian Scandal I bought to put away and one open 2 oz tin.
We'll see how this thing really ends up. I'm a bit jaded myself.

Jeff,

The warehouse for C&D's source of Syrian Latakia (including for a few GLPease blends) burned down this week. With it, the supply of Syrian Latakia. As such, Bohemian Scandal, Raven's Wing, Renessiance, and Memphisto, are discontinued for an indefinite time until more Syrian can be imported. The time frame for importing ranges anywhere from about 6 months on the short side to never again on the long side. As you might imagine, this created a mad dash for said blends.

Tell me about it. Today I went to Mike's place (Mars Cigars - about 10 minutes from my in-laws) to pick up a few tins. I was going to try Bohemian Scandal for the first time, but he was sold out.
