Lol! Bought the pipe for $200 and got the tobacco from a shop that didn't know what they had. 4 tins of the aged stuff for $40. So nyah. :P

Mac Baren Dark Twist ca 1979. Import sticker is "Fireside Industries". This is heaven. And I only have.... 47 more tins.

In a departure for me, I am smoking butternut burley in a magnum sized shop pipe. Such is my fate when the air conditioner is on.

Just watched a red sun rise over the sea, from the smoke deck of the mighty Coast Guard Cutter Legare while enjoying a mellow smoke of Dunhill Early Morning Pipe from my Nording churchwarden.

Couldn't get the sg lit, but ended the dog walk with haddos. It was magical... and no, there wasn't anything except for haddos in the pipe :)

Just smoked my first bowl of Macbaren Plumcake. I liked the flavor, but I had a bit of trouble keeping it lit. I think its tempermental in the way it likes to be packed, not too tight, and requires you to sip it slow and steady.

Had my second serving of McB's Plumbcake today. Packed it alot looser, and it made a huge difference. Much more enjoyable, burned perfectly all the way to the bottom with negligible dottle. Methinks I'll make room for it in my rotation, which means I'll have to acquire another pipe soon. Darn.

Just got the Victory Lap sampler pack from pipesandcigars. Looking forward to it! With my new pipe production I'll hopefully be able to have a dedicated pipe per tobacco, at least until I have to send 'em off to friends.

A 50/50% mix of Altadis--Heavy English 503 & Sterling Tobacco--1776 Briar Creek Natural....I didn't care for either of them very much, so I throw them together and that blend became my daily smoke! It doesn't taste at all like either of them...it's good stuff. (Most things good in my life I never planned for.)

My first smoke of H&H Lakeland Brickle in an Askwith. Lakeland style tobaccos are still odd to me. This one definitely has a soapy thing happening, but at $17/lb (on sale) it's worth further exploration.
