Hi From Oregon!

Post by Sawdust »

Hi all,
I am looking forward to participating here and "trying my hand" at making pipes. I've been a pipe smoker since the '70s and actually made a couple pipes back then (fine examples of war clubs). My background is in woodworking so I already have a pretty good wood lathe, drill press, etc. After reading as many of the older threads as I can, I am really impressed with the wealth of knowledge, as well as the sharing nature of this Board!

Glad you could join us Jim! Your intro reminds me of another fellow that joined this forum a few years back. He too had "made a few pipes back in the 70's." He too was from Oregon. Turns out Brad Pohlmann is a pretty good pipe maker. I hope similar resumes results in similar success.

We look forward to seeing your work.
