WTB: Lathe chuck

Post by TRS »

I'm in the market to upgrade my chuck a bit. I'm looking for a self centering wood lathe chuck, Nova, Oneway, Barracuda, that type; if anyone has a spare they don't need or one they've upgraded from and would like to sell it that'd be swell. I'm not interested in any uber-expensive custom made chucks right now. I'll probably buy a new one in the next couple months or get one from Santa if no one here has anything, but I thought I'd try this route first. I'm looking for a 3/4"x16tpi or a chuck that can be changed over to that size adapter. Thanks everyone!

Hey, thanks for the heads-up. Can anyone tell me if this accepts the standard type of replacement jaws ("c"?)? I'd like to get half a set of those profiled tower jaws, but I can't find the size of this chuck....

Edit: I found it on the Teknatool site and this chuck seems like it might be too small for versatile block grippage; someone correct me if I'm wrong.
