Ok. For these creations there is no physical manifestation, so you'll need to take a little trip to some links:

You can hear some of the various musical projects I have been involved with or written at:

Nice man, I too am in a prog outfit, although we don't play live much anymore, we really just do it for the fun of it. I most definitely hear some King Crimson in there. I only listened to the first track of the first link but I love the odd time signatures! Sounds pretty technical. I'll listen more when I get the chance.

Thank you! If you listened to Fripp the Light Fantastic it is actually a melody of Crimson tunes crammed together.

Nice....Ha ha, I should have caught that. Robert Fripp= Crimson. Very nice. Love the Zappa quote! Also a big fan. I'm sorry if I over looked this but what instrument(s) do ya play? Do the rest of the band members smoke pipes? Ha Ha....I'm trying to get my bandmates to smoke. I need people to give my crappy pipes away.

BIG ZAPPA FAN! I've probably got over 30 Zappa discs (incl bootlegs). I am a percussionist. I don't get to play as much anymore though.

Oh hell yeah, now we're talkin prog! So yes, I too don't play as much as I would like, especially since I started this pipe craft obsession but we try to get together once a week to jam. Gentle Giant! ....Way ahead of their time! They're freakin bad ass! I'm glad to see there are other music fans on this forum. The Mars Volta are one of my favorite contemporary progressive bands. I would like to hear your favorite contemporaries as well.

I'm new to this site and am enjoying it very much. Not only has it been a valuable resource for learning pipe making, it also seems to be a place filled with interesting and varied folk. Then, I stumble across a thread that mentions stuff like Fripp, Zappa, and the like. How cool is this? It's like being welcome into that cool tree fort. And don't even get me going on the brothers Shulman et.al. (G.Giant).

My first pipe making experience commenced about 3 weeks ago. My first concert experience commenced in May of 1969: The Mothers of Invention. This is going so far back in Zappa's lineup that the other guitarist was Lowell George (Little Feat).

Anyway; thought I'd off load this for what it's worth (not to be confused w/ a Buff. Springfield song of the same era as my 1st concert). Great site, interesting info and members.

Anyone familiar w/ McDonald and Giles, speaking of KC and Mr. Fripp?

Absolutely familiar with McDonald and Giles. They are from the original lineup! I think I should have been born about 10 years earlier than I was due to all of the music I gravitated towards. Prog rock especially. Welcome to the forum.
