Post by escudo »

The Greater Kansas City Pipe Club's annual (OK, we missed two years...this is our 11th show) Kansas City Pipe and Tobacco Show is back! We've moved the date to the 4th weekend in June, this year June 26 & 27th. Lots of info on the website at www.gkcpipeclub.com
This year we are also featuring a North American Carvers contest to support and promote American carvers. The highlights of the contest are:
enter your interpretation of the Volcano shape (you do not have to attend to enter a pipe), independent judges will pick the top 7 which will be made into a 7 day set. Photo of set and bio of the carvers will be in full page Pipes and tobaccos magazine spread (Thank you Chuck Stanion). Raffle tickets will be sold (250 total, $25 each, 5 for $100) at the show. The winner gets the set, the carvers get the money. Full details are on the website.
Other new about the show:
Neill Roan is the Banquet speaker
Tony Soderman's 276 piece English long shank collection will be on display
