Sharing is caring....
I've made a number of morta pipes recently, but this was the first sandblasted one I've done:
Also includes nickel silver and mammoth ivory. And a hell of a lot of work. The mammoth ivory has a few hairline dark marks in it that look like cracks, but are solid through and through, almost like some artifact of partial fossilization. Not sure what to make of those.
And I've got to say, I think I prefer the sandblasted morta to the smooth - though I prefer sandblasted pipes anyway.

That's neat Kurt. Very sharp. Almost looks fake somehow....all those intersecting lines twist my brain.
ALL YOUR PIPE ARE BELONG TO US!
Re: blasted morta
Really, really nice. I am going to have to add a Kurt Huhn morta pipe to my wish list. I hope my wife comes into a nice inheritance soon because my birthday is coming up quickly.
Re: blasted morta
it's a bit odd. but, i love it! that blasting is really cool.
Re: blasted morta
This squashed tomato shape with the ivory accent and the flowing bent stem on this precisely sandblasted morta looks to me very modern.
A beautiful pipe with details to the eye.

Awesome looking pipe!!! I really like the blasted Morta, Ivory and Silver combination! That is such a nice look.

Absolutely beautiful!!! While I'm not a big fan of morta pipes, this piece may have changed my mind.
