Faux Ivory?
I've seen some pipes with faux ivory rings at the end of the shank and it looks like white acrylic to me. Does anyone know what this material is and where I can purchase it? Thank you in advance.
Hi,
another replacement for ivory are tagua nuts http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/store ... agua?Args=. Inexpensive and easy to work with - I'm actually working on a pipe with a shank made of it.
Regards, Jens

Or a small pipe ... no, it's only the shank, not the whole pipe.RadDavis wrote:That must be a HUGE tagua nut!Jos wrote:Hi,
