Who inspired you?

If you had to pick one pipecarver who inspired you, who would it be? And if it has changed, list the changes.

For me, I was first attracted to the Danish carvers and the freehand look and I especially like Erik Nording's work. Poul Winslow is a real close second.

BTW: the influences are probably not in the areas that you think. If you can guess it, you get a cookie.

Good guess, but no. :) Well, partly, for one maker, but not the central reason.

I don't know the answer, but I like a cookie!

If that pathetic face doesn't win the cookie, then you're a hard hearted, olive oil soaked Ostrogoth! So there!

It's actually for a collection of reasons. However, it has very little to do with market segment or the words "high grade". I'm really quite reluctant to post the reasons here, but feel free to send me an email or give me a call if you're really interested. :D

By the way, I'm such a nice guy, I've decided to give all of you a cookie. Chocolate Chip cookies, fresh from the oven.

I've heard that phrase before! Fool me once shame on you... Fool me twice, I'm a little a slow. Fool me three times and maybe I liked it a bit... but you'll never fool me a fourth!
