Foredom 5420 - Opinions?

I am looking at purchasing a good rotary tool and was wondering if anyone had opinions or advice as far as pipe making goes. I like the Proxxon 38481, but I'd probably buy the foot pedal and flexishaft with it, and the Foredom comes like that already.

Just looking for a little advice. I currently have no tools and I am looking for the most bang for my buck to get into pipe making and something that will last me a number of years. I believe in spending the extra money to start instead of just buying cheap and ending up with sub par tools that I will just have to eventually replace later. My father has a work shop with a band saw, drill press and other tools, but I'd really like some good quality wood working tools of my own.

I have a foredom and it's great, I like the fact that you have the ability to change the speeds while working.
