I purchased some olivewood because it was readily available at a local
store and thought it would be a cheap alternative to briar to practice
pipemaking. So far my experience smoking these pipes has been great.
I may even prefer olive to briar. Here is my 7th, 8th, and 9th pipes and
first olivewoods. I welcome criticism and suggestions. So, please tell me how I can improve my work.

hand cut ebonite stem. delrin tenon and mortise sleeve. I think the stem
may be to chunky.

Looking good. Yeah, I have got to take the plunge with some olive wood. I had been looking at some on ebay, but I never got around to buying any. And then, the last time I looked, I could only find the "green", fresh-cut stuff.

Nice work!
And I also think that they smoke great. They are easy to break in (normally about 10 bowls for my wild olive) and can take a lot more punishment from a heavy smoker like me, than briar, I think.
