Green stain
Green stain
I was wondering if anyone could give me a link to a site that sells a green alcohol soluble stain powder. I have already checked Pimo, JHLowe, and the Emporium, but no luck. Thanks fellas.
Here you go (about 1/2 way down the page): http://www.woodfinishsupply.com/PLaniline.html
Fiebing's makes a green ready to use - no mixing. Just Google Fiebing's Dye.

There's some on this page:
http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/store ... _dye?Args=
And here:
http://www.woodfinishsupply.com/PLaniline.html
And, like Frank, I also suggest the Fiebings Leather dyes. They're about all I ever use.

The advantages of alcohol based: 1) Doesn't raise the grain. 2) Dries quicker. 3) Seems to penetrate deeperalan wrote:I've only used the alcohol soluble stains before. Is a water soluble stain any different? I assume you shouldn't use tap water. Would I just need purified water, or something else?
