It's more a brandy or apple than a billiard, but I likes. The full forward cant adds some interest.

Nice brandy! Your definition between bowl and shank is a tad too sharp for me, but that's just me. The colour you get with your pipes are truly amazing, though.

Good job!

Your work is excellent as usual. The pipe is very nicely shaped. I
actually like the sharp transition between bowl and shank, but I'm
definitely not an authority. Any detail you would divulge about what methods you use to achieve such a remarkable finish would be greatly
appreciated. What grit do you sand to? What type of dye? Do you use
more than one dye and when are they applied? thanks, Scot

I do finish so: I grind a pipe up to ¹ 800. Then I take black Stains and 10 minutes without interruption rub a pipe. After that the pipe dries a floor of hour. Then I grind a pipe ¹ 1000, it is necessary to grind it is very cautious and as soon as that will start to be shown light fibres pass on ¹ 1200,1500,2000,2500.¿ then I cover any light Stains. Then with pure flannel circle I polish, then I take one more flannel circle but already with wax Carnuba. Well and all. If something have not understood ask, I shall answer.

Senatorov, The link did not work for me. Let me see If I have understood your directions correctly. Here is how I intend to finish my next pipe:
1. sand the pipe to 800grit
2. apply black stain
3. rub in for 10 minutes, let dry 1 hour
4. sand lightly grits 1200 1500 2000 2500
5. apply light colored stain, let dry
6. buff with tripoli
7. buff with white diamond
8. buff with carnuba
is this the correct process?
do you use alcohol based furniture stain?
thanks for the great information, Scot

6 item is unnecessary. And other all is correct . But 1000 grits it is necessary to rub before occurrence of light fibres and at once to pass on 1200 grits well and so on. You show me a photo after 1000 grits and I to you shall tell enough or not.Yes I use furniture stain
