Hang in there buddy. I would order the briar anyway. At worst, it will just age nicely. At best you can rough them out and then just pack a bunch of sandpaper to finish them with.

Thank you very much for your service! I cannot imagine the sacrifice required by you and your family. Thank you so very much.

If you can get to computer from Cuba, please let us know how to send a pacakge to you. I bet the board here could put together a group package for you that might ease your time there.
